Defense Verdict in Medical Malpractice Wrongful Death Case
6/15/2023Heather Miller and Dan McGrew recently obtained a defense verdict in a wrongful death medical malpractice case in Fulton County State Court.
The trial concerned allegations against an emergency room physician and physician assistant for failure to diagnose an infectious process that Plaintiff alleged led to the development of endocarditis and the death of his spouse. Plaintiff asked for over $30million dollars in damages at trial. After deliberating for approximately four hours, the jury returned a verdict for the Defendants.
Dan and Heather represent physicians, nurses, healthcare practices and hospitals in medical malpractice claims. This is Heather's second defense verdict in a medical malpractice case since the start of 2023. Dan also obtained a defense verdict in a medical malpractice case earlier this year.
